Sometimes we have a wall or even part thereof which we think could use a little extra. We could paint it to blend with the rest of the room, maybe paint it a different colour, or we can choose a wallpaper to make a feature of it. All great ideas, and I am all for wallpaper. But what if you could take it a step further? Combine the paint and the wallpaper into something that is uniquely yours. How about painting your own mural on that wall, and let it express that little part of your home with some personal touches. So, this week, I have compiled some pictures of other murals, created in that way, to give you a little inspiration into whats possible with a little paint. Photo from gracelaced.com Deep navy paint as a base. The design? Gold marker. Why not? Photo from apartmenttherapy.com A soothing mountain range. Working with different tones to create a dramatic effect. Photo from http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com Wouldn't this look amazing in a kids bedroom? Perhaps painting the stars with glow in the dark paint?? Photo from facebook.com/INTERIOR.ENERGETIC.DESIGN Bit if tape, few paint tester pots, a little time. Magic Photo from s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com And why not make the bathroom a little more fun? Could also be a shark? Whale? Dolphin jumping out? Bubbles? From instagram.com thislittlestreet Fun, colourful, creative, happy, a great example for a children's bedroom! Of course there are many other examples and ideas out there from very simple to incredibly intricate designs so why not try something? And hey, if it goes wrong, break out the paint roller and start fresh! Besides, maybe going wrong could actually turn into something right! Go for it!
As some, or perhaps most, people will know. A companies office may not always be the most inviting place to have to go to in the morning. Employers may do their best to make it a great place to work, but, as I will keep saying, you need to be able to feel great in your work environment as well. So below I have compiled a few photos of offices that went a little out of the ordinary to provide a working space that doesn't only look great but offers the employees a more creative and maybe even more motivating way of working. Wouldn't it be amazing to wake up in the morning knowing you get to walk into one of these offices? And why not? A little fun, a little out of the box thinking and what do you get? Innovation and creation.
As always you can use the links with the photos to find out more about each office. Ok, yes, it's another one about lighting. Photo from hutchstudio.blogspot.ie Photo from shopstyle.com Photo from creativespotting.com Photo from decorosindecoro.blogspot.com.es Photo from origin.anothermag.com
